I would assume that anyone interested in this book would already have learned about the history of Marc in library school. Why waste time and paper on something we already know? Incredibly helpful book.

Hi Amanda,

How wonderful that you read with your children! It's a great way to bond as well as enjoy great literature. Thank you for taking the time and energy to thoughtfully guide your children in their reading choices. Your comment is encouraging.

Blessings,

My children and I had started reading this book for summer reading because it looked fascinating. Today we hit the page 27 quote and the 'adventures' that began from there... I started to have doubts. We want our children to enjoy good literature, and Polly Horvath does write beautifully, but not at the expense of our faith and values. I have been searching all over the internet to verify her faith/religious standing to no avail... your review has helped tremendously... thank you!
